Spring 2026
Pull Back The Curtain! was an experimental exhibition organised by Dani Hawkes and Max Bennett. Visitors were invited to curate the show with the artists, prompting new discussions around curation and unusual combinations of work. This installation emerged through that collaboration and combines three pieces of work.
Plinths describes a collection of wood reclaimed from the wood workshop at Locksbrook Campus, Bath Spa University. Originally collected to be used as plinths in for sculptures made during I Used To Something, they are open to being repurposed further. Visual residue builds with each use.
Champagne cages is a short project using crushed champagne cages found on the street. Functional objects that have had their functionality pressed out of them, they have taken on incidental shapes. This featured several found champagne cages, a book of drawings, and an etching plate with champagne cage motifs.
Pocket sketchbook containing recent drawings playing with transparency and the format of a sketchbook. Highlighting areas where ink bleeds through pages and letting the last drawing influence the next.
The exhibition was displayed for one night only on 30 April 2026 at KitForm, Bristol.
